Identification:Grows up to 3 m tall, bark flakes off
Common names: Mock orange
Leaves: opposite, deciduous, oval to egg-shaped having 3 veins from the base of the leaf.
Flowers: White, fragrant ,having 4 petals and numerous stamens.
Habitat:grows in a variety of habitats
Ecology: Mock Orange provides food in the form of seeds for birds such as chickadees, finches, grosbeaks, juncos, thrushes, and flickers. Nectar provides food for bees, butterflies including Western tiger swallowtail, Pale Swallowtail, common wood nymph, and others.
