Parasitic solitary wasps (Sphecidae: Chlorion, Larra) – ectoparasites of herbivores – These two unrelated genera lay their eggs on the bodies of only temporarily paralyzed grasshopper hosts; after the eggs hatch the parasitic larva remains on the outside feeding until the grasshopper dies and then it enters to finish it off.
