Common name: Sword Fern

Identification: large evergreen fern with erect leaves forming a crown.

Leaves: Dry scaly lance shaped blade. once-pinnate, leaflets alternate, sharp toothed, each with small lobe at bottom.

Habitat: low to mid elevation moist forests.

Ecology: provides habitat for birds
